It’s the good Canadian icon: a frozen creek, a yard rink, a father passing anything invaluable directly to his child—the love of a video game. there's not anything particularly so Canadian as hockey, and not anything fairly so evocative in hockey because the relationships among Canadian hockey gamers and their fathers.
listed below are the private stories of Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Paul Coffey and Marty McSorley, advised because the 4 NHL stars take their fathers on a hockey journey of Europe.
listed here are the thoughts of hockey’s grand households: Gordie, Mark and Travis Howe; invoice, Kevin and Gord Dineen; Murray, Ken and Michael Dryden. this is Brett Hull’s tale of the recognized father who was once by no means home.
But The domestic Team is approximately greater than recognized names. it's the tale of the daddy and son left weeping within the stands on the finish of a disappointing draft day. it's the tale of a minor league trainer and his condo league son. This ebook is ready hockey. it's also approximately the place we are living and who we're: a e-book for all fathers and sons in Canada.
